The Power of We theme for this year’s Blog Action Day, inspired iSamarinda.net and @_KOMPAG to initiate an offline meeting for communities in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. On Sunday, October 14, 2012. There were 32 communities group present at Plaza Mulia, Samarinda get together, to share stories and listen to the music being played by 5 bands and 6 solo musicians, as well, as well as freeze action by Samarinda Flashmob community.
This was followed on October 15, 2012, at SMKTI Airlangga, with a blog article writing session, watching a movie called Linimas by ICT Watch Indonesia and WatchDoc, who also talked about the benefits of social media in Indonesia. The event was attended by 52 social media users and bloggers from Samarinda.
